Now in its seventh year, the 2020 Verizon Business Retail Trends Report (formerly known as the Holiday Retail Index) is here. We are watching carefully to see the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic as well as the usage of any next-gen technology powered by 5G.
Our Methodology
Verizon Business tracks ecommerce traffic across Verizon’s broadband networks using a sampling of traffic to 20 of the top 100 retailers, according to the National Retail Federation (NRF), comparing the first week of November 2019 to the first week of November 2020.

Online holiday shopping traffic is up 82%.Holiday shopping is surging early confirming how COVID-19 restrictions could be linked to an increase in online shopping.
