Verizon 5G Business Internet is a new high-speed, fixed wireless access (internet connectivity) service that is paving the way for a new era of business innovations with broadband-like speeds and ultra-low latency, giving your business a powerful tool to help stay competitive. 5G Ultra Wideband connectivity provides many times the speed of today’s LTE networks, connecting your business to the internet without the need for a broadband tether or the associated requirements.
A new kind of internet connectivity
You have the right to choose the best internet service for your needs, not just what’s available in your market. With Verizon 5G Business Internet, you expand your options for connectivity.
Many business benefits, innovation ready
5G Business Internet connects your business machines to the internet with blazing fast speed and low latency for either a primary or redundant service. It is an attractive option for enabling new branches or locations, especially in areas where broadband can be costly. Best of all, because 5G Business Internet uses Verizon’s groundbreaking Ultra Wideband network, it provides the speed and latency needed for next gen use cases like AR and VR that were previously only realistic with a broadband connection.
Groundbreaking speed
Welcome to internet speeds that are ultrafast. With Verizon 5G Business Internet, you can expect download speeds of up to 400 Mbps. (Exact amounts will vary based on the speed tier you’ve selected).
Ultra-low latency
5G’s end-to-end latency (the time it takes for data to travel from the user over the network to the central processor and back again) can be leveraged to drive true business change, enabling applications like VR and AR. 5G Business Internet is a great solution for companies that have an interest in developing both employee and customer engagements using next gen tools that require low latency.

For the 5G Business Internet service you should consider the following guidelines to ensure proper usage to meet your business needs.
Downlink Bandwidth when using 5G
- 5G Business Internet is an ‘up to’ bandwidth service. The maximum bandwidth allowed will be associated with the speed tier service level selected for your service (e.g. 400 Mbps). There is no minimum bandwidth level. Consult with your Account Manager about your specific use cases to ensure appropriate selection.
- Any customer owned networking equipment residing within the router’s Local Area Network must have networking physical interfaces capable of supporting the subscribed services downlink speeds. Customer networking devices should, at a minimum, support 1 Gigabit Ethernet to accommodate internet speeds in excess of 100 Mbps.
Downlink Bandwidth when using 4G LTE fallback
- If 5G access is not available, 5G Business Internet will automatically provide access to Verizon’s 4G LTE network to continue support of data traffic. When in 4G mode, the following guidelines are suggested:
- Downlink bandwidth: 5 Mbps to 12 Mbps
The 4G LTE fallback will automatically revert back to 5G when it becomes available.
Latency: We suggest consulting your Account Manager for the latest information on end to end latency.
-
The 5G Business Internet Service Speed Tiers include 100, 200, 400 Mbps Download.
Customers can change their 5G BI service at any time (i.e. upgrade or downgrade a speed tier) plans will be automatically prorated for any month’s applicable service fee.
Public Static IP Router Address
If you require a Public Static IP address for your router, contact your Verizon Account Manager.
Note: This feature can be added after the 5G Business Internet service is installed.

Service disruptions can hurt a company's bottom line and compromise an organization's mission. The economic and reputational imperatives of the current market have shifted the discussion from IT disaster recovery to an enterprise-wide business continuity focus.
Organizations of all sizes and industry types should have ongoing, enterprise-wide Business Continuity Programs that develop, prepare and exercise the various areas of continuity from critical business processes to IT service availability. The Business Continuity Program should address areas such as Emergency Response, Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Plans, Disaster Recovery Plans, Supplier Plans, Exercises, and ongoing Business Continuity program management.
The goals of today’s most relevant Business Continuity Programs are those providing organizations with an enterprise-wide business continuity focus, that not only includes strategizing and planning for IT service availability and disaster recovery but addresses the ability to manage all areas of critical and continuity activities of the program to help prepare and mitigate the impact from ever-increasing risks threatening to interrupt organizations’ critical processes.
Verizon helps our customers to effectively prepare and maintain continuity during planned and unplanned events to help reduce the risk and impact from disruptions. Please contact your Verizon account team for further assistance.

We have a broad range of solutions and partnerships in place designed specifically to bring inherent benefit to our customers that choose to trust us with their business, which is why so many successful Fortune 500 companies partner with Verizon.
5G Business Internet Speed Tiers include the following:
- 100, 200, 400 Mbps Download (depending on the price plan chosen)
Note: 5G Business Internet is an ‘up to’ bandwidth service. The maximum bandwidth to be allowed will be the Speed Tier service level selected for your service (e.g. 400 Mbps). There is no minimum bandwidth level. Consult with your Account Manager about your specific use cases to ensure appropriate selection.
Yes, however this depends on the specific location within the building where 5G Business Internet will be installed. Since installation may require mounting of equipment and running cabling within the building structure, Verizon must have permission to professionally install hardware on/in the building structure, as required (e.g. drilling holes for mounting/ roof access if applicable, etc.). If your company rents the building, you are responsible for providing Verizon with written permission for the installation from the building owner.
Two pieces of equipment are installed:
- Outdoor 5G receiver (with a grounded, Power over Ethernet connection to the router)
- Router (provided via Verizon or supported router)
Note: For customers using a ‘Bring your Own Device’ supported router option. The router device would have been prequalified and reviewed with your account manager prior to order placement/ service installation. For any questions or to discuss changing/prequalifying another router, please contact your account manager.
You are responsible for your LAN configuration which should support the bandwidth option you selected for the service.
For example, if the devices and their applications residing within the LAN are set for lower bandwidth than what was purchased for 5G Business Internet, they will perform at that specific speed and not the speed tier purchased for the 5G Business Internet.
Review the Local Area Network (LAN) interface capabilities of any of your downstream networking equipment prior to installation.
Any customer owned networking equipment residing within the router’s Local Area Network must have networking physical interfaces capable of supporting the subscribed services up/downlink speeds. Customer networking devices should at a minimum support 1 Gigabit Ethernet to accommodate internet speeds in excess of 100 Mbps.
Note: If you are using your own business router for the service, your account manager can review router requirements with you to ensure that your router is compatible with 5G Business Internet.
The Verizon 5G Business Internet service requires coverage via our 5G network. We are working hard to expand our coverage within current cities and to new cities.
