Quick reference setup steps for common TV brands
The following provides the TV input control (HDMI-CEC) trade names and setup steps used by different TV brands.
LG (SimpLink)
- Navigate to Home > Settings > General > SIMPLINK
- Configure the SIMPLINK settings, changing any control options to On
Onkyo AV receivers (Remote Interactive over HDMI (RIHD))
- Press RCV on the Onkyo remote controller
- Navigate to HOME > Setup > HDMI Setup
- Set HDMI CEC (RIHD) and HDMI Through to On
Panasonic (HDAVI Control, EZ-Sync or VIERA Link)
- Press Menu button
- Navigate down and select Setup
- Select HDMI Control
- Set CEC Function and Power Off Link to On
Philips (EasyLink)
- Press Home button
- Navigate to Setup > Installation > Preferences > EasyLink
- Select On
Pioneer plasma displays (Kuro Link)
- Press Home Menu on the Pioneer remote
- Navigate to Control Setup > Kuro Link Setting
- Set Input Setting, Power Off Control, Power On Read and Hold Sound Status to On
Roku TV (1-Touch Play)
- Press Home button
- Navigate down to Settings
- Select System
- Select Control other devices (CEC)
- Select 1-Touch Play and System Standby
Samsung (Anynet+)
- Press Home
- Navigate to System > Expert Settings
- Turn on Anynet+(HDMI-CEC)
Sharp (Aquos Link)
- Press Menu button
- Navigate to the right and select Setup
- Select CEC Control
- Set Device Auto Power Off and TV Auto Power Off to On
Sony Bravia Smart TV (BRAVIA Sync)
- Press Home
- Navigate to Settings > Channels & Inputs >HDMI Settings
- Set Control for HDMI to On
Sony Playstation 4 (HDMI Device Link)
- On your PS4, go to Settings in the top right
- Go to System settings near the bottom
- Check Enable HDMI Device Link
Toshiba (CE-Link or Regza Link)
- Oprime Menu
- Navigate to Settings > Other Settings
- Set CEC and CEC Auto PowerOn to On
Vizio (CEC)
- Press Menu button
- Navigate down and select System or Settings
- Navigate down and select CEC
- Press OK on CEC and select On
Not all TVs are compatible with TV input control. Check with your TV manufacturer for specific instructions on how to activate this feature.
