Preguntas frecuentes
While specific steps vary by device type, the basic steps are to:
- Navigate to your device’s Wi-Fi settings
- Choose your Wi-Fi network (also known as SSID)
- Enter the network’s password (sometimes referred to as encryption key)
- Tap Join
The default network name and password can be found on a label on your router. If those defaults haven’t been changed since the initial setup, enter the default name and password. If the defaults have been changed, use the new name and password. To change the default network name and password, refer to the router’s user guide.
Sometimes it might appear that you have a connection issue, but computer performance can also be impacted by spyware, viruses or a full hard drive. Also, if you are streaming several videos simultaneously, you could be reaching your internet usage capacity, which can cause your connection to slow down. Additionally, other electronic devices (e.g., TVs or microwaves) or physical obstructions (e.g., walls or floors) can cause interference with your router’s signal. Move your wireless networking router away from these obstructions to see if that improves your connection.
