Enterprise Messaging Application Gateway (EMAG) is a set of APIs for sending SMS/MMS messages in bulk and programmatically. With five APIs (including HTTP and SMTP), it conveniently ties into your existing email, applications, or new software development. EMAG provides inexpensive, reliable, high-volume SMS (application-to-person messaging) to Verizon devices or devices on other carriers.2,3 EMAG is used for workforce management, first responder coordination, customer notifications, IoT device control and many other SMS/MMS applications. For example, by tying EMAG into your scheduling system, you can send automated reminders to customers’ mobile devices asking them to confirm their appointments.
With email to SMS, you can send or receive SMS messages from your email system via an SMS gateway, a technology bridge that converts the text in an email message into an SMS message delivered to a phone or SMS-enabled device. EMAG from Verizon supports email to SMS and is a replacement for Vtext/VZPix gateway users.
