Section I.3.4 - Verizon Business Services Flexible T1 Service (also “Verizon Business Services II Flexible T1 Plus Service” and “Verizon Business Service III Flexible T1 Plus Service”)

 

(Effective October 1, 2010, this service will no longer be available to new Customers. Effective September 1, 2011, Customers will not be permitted to modify existing service or add new service.

 

Verizon Business Services Flexible T1 Service (“Flexible T1 Service”) is a flexible, integrated T1 service that offers a single access method for many Company voice, data, and Internet services, including Local Service, Interstate Long Distance Voice Services and Intrastate Long Distance Voice Services Outbound Service, Private IP Service, and Integrated Internet Access Service. Integrated Internet Access is access to the Internet available only with Flexible T1 Service.

 

Flexible T1 Service is based on a channelized T1 that must be configured with a minimum of 12 circuits (and a maximum of 24) of which six must be Local Trunks or Local Lines (but not both), one circuit must be one of the above-mentioned data or Internet services, and the remaining circuits can be Local Trunks or Local Lines of voice (but must match to Customer’s choice of trunks or lines on the first six circuits), or one of the above data or Internet services, or a combination of both. Flexible T1 Service is only available under Verizon Business Services (VBS) II or VBS III.

 

For existing Flexible T1 Customers under VBS I, the above rules apply, except that the first eight circuits (as opposed to six) must be either Local Trunks or Local Lines (but not both), one circuit must be one of the above-mentioned data or Internet services and the remaining three circuits may be a combination, as described above.

 

1.         Eligibility. Customer must subscribe to or renew service under a Verizon Business Services Agreement with a minimum one-year commitment Flexible T1 Service cannot be used in conjunction with the Verizon Business Services Local and Long Distance Plan.

 

2.         Rates and Charges. A monthly recurring charge (MRC) applies for the initial 12 circuits on a per-circuit basis, and an additional MRC applies for each additional circuit. Applicable non-recurring charges and MRCs are as specified in:

2.1       Bundled Long Distance Service Minutes. Long Distance Service is provided pursuant to the terms and conditions of Customer’s agreement for Long Distance Service.

 

2.1.1    Bundled Minutes Option. Customer can purchase Interstate Long Distance Voice Services and Intrastate Long Distance Voice Services Outbound Service to be provided over Local Lines or Local Trunks, based upon the number of minutes selected as set forth in the following table.

2.1.2    Additional Minutes. Additional Interstate Long Distance Voice Services and Intrastate Long Distance Voice Services Outbound Service to be provided over Local Lines or Local Trunks (i.e., in addition to the Bundled Minutes shown above) are currently charged $.05 per minute.

 

2.2       Discounts. Customers are eligible to receive Verizon Business Services local discounts on the MRC for Flexible T1 Service for: Integrated Internet Access, Local Lines, Local Trunks, and Private IP Service.

 

3.         Installation – Integrated Internet Access. With respect to Integrated Internet Access, installation may be scheduled between the hours of 8am and 7pm Eastern Time Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). Company may charge an additional fee if Customer requests installation outside of these hours.

 

4.         Access for Maintenance. Access to a router at a Company Network hub near Customer’s site may be interrupted for (i) scheduled maintenance (usually scheduled during off-hours at an Company hub, such as Tuesdays and Thursdays between 3:00 am and 6:00 am local time), (ii) emergency maintenance, or (iii) as otherwise set forth in the Customer’s service agreement.
