National Unified Messaging Service
I. SERVICE DESCRIPTION: National Unified Messaging Service (NUMS) is a non-regulated service feature offered to Customers of Company’s Local Service-CLEC local exchange services, Local Service – ILEC Exchange Services including but not limited to Business lines (Centrex) and ILEC-provided Remote Call Forwarding Service, and to Customers of non-Company service providers of local exchange services. NUMS is offered in “Standard” and “Enhanced” versions, both of which enable access to and management of voice-mail and voice-mail options via phone and an end user Web interface 24 hours a day/7 days a week, except as otherwise noted below.
1. Standard NUMS
1.1 Standard NUMS Capabilities. The following capabilities are available, based on the message capacity selected:

1.2 Standard NUMS Features. The following are the key features included with Standard NUMS:
· Listen to, delete, or forward voice-mail messages.
· Set up to three Find Me/Follow Me numbers.
· Set notification options for pager/phones with texting (up to five schedules) and e-mail (via the Web only).
· Select on Mailbox Options menu to provide shorter verbiage on the Main Menu only.
· Choose which greetings are played to incoming callers (via phone or the Web):
– In the Office and Available Greeting.
– In the Office and Unavailable Greeting.
– Not Accepting Messages Greeting.
– Message Center Default Greeting.
· Voice-mail PIN change.
· Set attendant (Operator) number (via the Web only).
· Schedule the order of message retrieval, headers, and voice-mail message saving (via the Web only).
· Set priority level on sent messages to normal, private, or urgent.
· Create distribution lists to send the same voice message to multiple mailboxes within your organization.
· Enhanced extension mailbox navigation.
2.1 Enhanced NUMS Capabilities. The following capabilities are available, based on the message capacity selected:

2.2 Enhanced NUMS Features. The following are the key features included with Enhanced NUMS:
· Listen to, delete, or forward voice-mail messages.
· Speed and Volume Controls.
· Call Options:
– Call Forward (NUMS user can set feature to automatically provide single number where user can be reached.)
– Attendant (Operator) Number.
– Reach Me Number (provides single number where voice-mail user can be reached).
– Colleague Number (provides number where colleague of voice-mail user can be reached.
· Set notification options for pager (up to five schedules) and e-mail (via the Web only).
· Choose which greetings are played to incoming callers:
– Available and working at the Office
– Available and working away from the Office
– Unavailable
– Ocupado
– Left for the Day
· Voice-mail PIN change.
· Set attendant (Operator) number (via the Web only).
· Schedule the order of message retrieval, headers, and voice-mail message saving (via the Web only).
· Set priority level on sent messages to normal, private, or urgent.
· Set confirmed receipt and/or future delivery options when sending messages.
· Create distribution lists to send the same voice message to multiple mailboxes within the organization.
3. Information Only. Permits pre-recorded information message-recording only; no message capacity is provided. The maximum greeting length is five minutes.
4. Menu Options. The following Menu Options are available:
(i) Menu. Allows routing to a user's mailbox only. User must order Menu and up to nine individual mailboxes. One of the nine mailbox types can be Menu Routing Enhanced or Auto Attendant dialed by name or number.
(ii) Menu Routing. Allows caller to transfer out to an extension before going to the NUMS platform. This application requires the purchase of Remote Call Forward (Local Service – ILEC Exchange) or Virtual Business Line (Local-CLEC service)
(iii) Menu Routing Enhanced. Allows user to play different message and establish alternate routing based on time-of-day, day-of-week, or holidays. This application requires the purchase of Remote Call Forward (Local Service – ILEC Exchange) or Virtual Business Line (Local-CLEC service).
(iv) Auto Attendant Dial by Name or Number. (Available only with Menu Routing or Menu Routing Enhanced.) Allows user to dial by name or number to access the user’s voice-mail box when not answered.
5. Listen and Reply
5.1 One Minute. Allows for a greeting one minute in length and up to forty replies. Each reply can be a maximum one minute in length.
5.2 Three Minutes. Allows for a greeting three minutes in length and up to 200 replies, each of which can be a message up to a maximum of three minutes.
6. Extension Mailboxes. Both Standard and Enhanced NUMS can be supplemented with an Extension Mailbox to allow Customer to add voice-mail capabilities to one telephone number shared by multiple people. An Extension Mailbox is one mailbox divided into nine sections. Callers dialing a shared phone number hear a greeting telling them which digit to press (1-9) for the desired recipient. After making a selection from the menu, callers will hear the personal mailbox greeting of the recipient they have chosen, followed by the recording tone. Users can check personal mailboxes for messages anytime.
7. Form Mailbox. Form Mailbox enables Customer to design and set up a vocal form application with up to 20 questions and capture the responses of callers. Form Mailbox sends the responses via e-mail to Customer as a .WAV file attachment. Form Mailbox does not save the responses after it transmits them.

III. FEATURES AND OPTIONS:
1. Call Forward Busy/Call Forward No Answer. These two features (included in Local Line Service Feature Package One) will be provisioned so that the incoming call goes to the toll-free number of the National Unified Messaging Service platform. There is no charge for these features on the line that has National Unified Messaging Service, but if Customer’s configuration includes more than one line sharing a single mailbox, then each additional local line must have and will be charged for Feature Package One. ILEC Exchange Service (Centrex) Customers may receive these features on each of their lines at no additional cost, pursuant to the configuration of ILEC Exchange Service (Centrex) in their state.
2. Message Waiting Indicator. An optional feature that provides a stutter tone and/or light (where available) to indicate a message is waiting. There are no additional charges for this feature for Local-CLEC Customers. Additional charges may apply for Local Voice–ILEC Exchange (Centrex) Customers.
