CROSS-BORDER PRIVATE LINE SERVICES

 

I.          SERVICE DESCRIPTION

 

1.     Cross Border Private Line.  Cross Border Private Line is a dedicated leased line services connected to Canadian and Mexican private line service.

 

II.         DEFINITIONS. The Online Definitions apply.

 

III.        FEATURES AND OPTIONS:  See Features and Options of the underlying services.

 

IV.        RATES AND CHARGES:  Rates for services to Canada and Mexico will be based (a) for the U.S. portion, on airline mileage to the border crossing nearest to the Canadian or Mexican termination point, subject to capacity availability and (b) for the non-U.S. portion in Canada or Mexico, the third party provider’s charges apply, at the rate in effect at the time of order, based on the conversion of the local currency to US dollars at the exchange rate at the time of order.

 

1.         Voice Grade Private Line. As of January 1, 2012, no new orders for any of the Voice   Grade Private Line services below will be accepted.

 

1.1       Mexico Analog Service. Mexico Analog Service is a dedicated analog circuit used for voice and data communications at approximate data speeds of 0-300, 1200, 2400, 4800, 7200 or 9600 bits per second.

 

1.2       Canada Analog Service. Canada Analog Service is a dedicated analog circuit used for voice and data communications at approximate data speeds of 0-300, 1200, 2400, 4800, 7200 or 9600 bits per second.

1.3       Cross Border Connection Charge.  A Cross Border Connection Charge will apply at the Company crossborder control terminal for connecting Analog Service to Canada and Mexico.

2.         DS1

 

2.1       Channel Rates To Mexico.  DS1 Service to Mexico is a point-to-point, dedicated circuit used for simultaneous two-way transmission of digital signals which provides 1.536 mbps of useable bandwidth.  Mexico DS1 Service is provisioned to the border using 24 contiguous 64 kbps DS0 channels.  Mexico DS1 Service is subject to the pricing below for the provision of the service in the United States and to the rates and regulations in the tariffs of the administration in Mexico for the portions in Mexico.  Mileage is measured for the U.S. portion of service from the Company terminal to the following international boundary points:

Otay Mesa, CA

 

The following monthly rates apply for the inter‑office TDS‑1.5 Service to the Mexican boundary points:

2.2       Inter Office Channel Rates To Canada.  DS1 Service to Canada is a point-to-point, dedicated circuit used for simultaneous two-way transmission of digital signals at a transmission speed of 1.544 Mbps.  Canada DS1 Service is subject to the pricing below for the provision of the service in the United States and to the rates and regulations in the tariffs of the administration in Canada for the portions in Canada.  Mileage is measured for the U.S. portion of service from the Company terminal to the following international boundary points:

3.         DS3 Service is a point-to-point, dedicated circuit used for simultaneous two-way transmission of digital signals which provides 44.736 Mbps of bandwidth.

 

3.1       Inter Office Channel Rates To Mexico.  Mexico DS3 Service is provisioned to the border and is subject to the pricing below for the provision of the service in the United States and to the rates and regulations in the tariffs of the administration in Mexico for the portions in Mexico.  Mileage is measured for the U.S. portion of service from the Company terminal to the following international boundary points:

5.         Terrestrial Digital Service-2.0 (TDS-2.0) is a high capacity digital local access arrangement which relies on TDS-2.0 transmission technology provided by the local exchange carrier and which will be used to connect customer's premises to Company terminals to provide customers access service.

 

5.1       Mexico TDS-2.0 Service Mexico TDS-2.0 Service is subject to the pricing below for the portion of the service in the United States, and to the rates and regulations in the tariffs of the administration in Mexico for the portions in Mexico.  Mileage is measured for the U.S. portion of service from the Company terminal to the following international boundary points:
