As the prime contractor for the Defense Information System Network Transmission (DISN) Services–Pacific II (DTS-P II) contract, Verizon provides end-to end transmission services and capabilities essential to the Department of Defense’s (DoD) consolidated enterprise-level telecommunications infrastructure for the Expanded Pacific Region.​​

Service Descriptions​​ 

DTS-P II fulfills the data transmission needs of the Department of Defense as well as its Services and Agencies in the Expanded Pacific region. The requirements for service transmission are accomplished using a comprehensive mix of undersea fiber optic cable and international satellite services. As part of Verizon's overall service offering we provide the following:​​ 

Seguridad​​  +​​ 

Verizon offers a fully integrated security approach to ensure DTS-P II services are protected per established DISN security procedures. Verizon manages the access and use of all information systems and databases within the contractor-controlled DISN security architecture. Verizon monitors and maintains physical, personnel, operational and industrial security to ensure the ongoing security and integrity of DTS-P II services. Verizon has installed the equipment, prepared the documentation and maintained the standards to achieve DTS-P II final authority to operate (ATO).​​ 

Satellite Earth Station​​  +​​ 

Verizon will provide Customer Satellite Earth Stations and maintenance to support the Government's need for satellite communication where needed. The earth stations can either be purchased or leased.​​ 

Bulk Encryption Equipment​​  +​​ 

To support the government's need for secure transmission, Verizon provides and installs SONET Encryptors by SafeNet for purchase.​​

DTS-P II is available to DoD, authorized non-DoD operations, other federal agencies, U.S. allies, and any government designated locations worldwide, so long as one of the termination points is located within the Expanded Pacific region, which includes:​​ 

  • U.S. Pacific Command (PACOM) - Includes, but is not limited to Alaska, Antarctica, Australia, Diego Garcia, Guam, Hawaii, Japan, Johnston Island, Korea, Kwajalein, Okinawa, Philippines, Singapore, Asia, New Zealand, Thailand and Wake Island​​ 
  • U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM) - Includes, but is not limited to Alaska, Canada and the United States​​ 
  • U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) - Includes, but is not limited to Caribbean, Central America, South America and GTMO​​ 
  • U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) - Includes, 27 countries such as but not limited to, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and United Arab Emirates among others within what is considered Southwest Asia (SWA) that includes Egypt to the west and the border with India, China and Russia to the east and the border with Turkey to the north​​
