Every year, PCMag asks its readers to choose the best Internet service provider based on speed, reliability and value. And every year, they choose Fios. Well, every year since 2006 that is. But still, with the 2016 PC Mag Reader’s Choice Award for Internet Service Providers now in the books that makes 11 straight years – an impressive run of dominance.
PCMag’s Reader’s Choice formula is simple – readers are asked to rate their satisfaction with their ISP’s speed, reliability and value. This year, Fios remains No. 1 when it comes to satisfaction with speed and reliability.
Readers’ Fios ratings are also very consistent with those the magazine found in 2015. Overall satisfaction (8.3), satisfaction with fees (5.6), speed (8.3), and customer service (6.4) are unchanged while satisfaction with reliability (8.7), technical support (7.2) and likelihood to recommend (8.2) edged up slightly.
Delivering a consistent experience like this to customers over an 11-year period where broadband data usage and demand has surged is a product of Verizon’s unwavering commitment to investing in the latest communications technologies.
Over the last three years alone, Verizon has invested more than $50 billion in the development of new products and services, and in the performance of its networks. This investment in serving customers has made Fios the most awarded network in the industry, with more than 50 awards in the last ten years.
