For Northern Virginians who want to get their purge on before the leaves turn, Verizon has the answer: the fifth annual Recycling Rally, set for Sept. 18 at the company’s Ashburn campus, 22001 Loudoun County Parkway.
Virginians have shed a lot of waste at the four previous Ashburn events – old TVs, computers, monitors, printers, Betamax VCRs, you name it. Overall, Verizon’s recycling rallies across the country have kept tons of material out of landfills.
So mark your calendars for 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sept. 18 and plan to toss that old TV. You’ll feel better for it, and you’ll be doing your part to go green amid the bright palette of autumn.
