BASKING RIDGE, N.J. – Christopher Formant, president of Verizon Enterprise Solutions, has named George Fischer as senior vice president of global sales at Verizon Enterprise Solutions.
In his role, Fischer is responsible for driving customer growth and increasing revenue through Verizon’s direct and indirect enterprise distribution channels across the North America, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. He leads a team of 2,100 sales professionals in 82 countries, driving sales of the company’s strategic solutions.
Fischer has more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in global sales, service, client operations and general management including with CA Technologies. During his career at CA, Fischer also played a key role in re-engineering CA’s go-to-market and customer engagement strategies and driving new product growth, renewing existing customer contracts and expanding overseas markets.
Formant said, “George works tirelessly to understand his clients’ business, market challenges and growth goals, and then builds technology-based solutions to those specific client needs. Fischer said, “Nobody else has Verizon’s combination of integrated solutions and technology assets, including enterprise cloud, world-class security, the nation’s largest, most reliable 4G LTE network and secure global IP networks. We can help clients change their market trajectory by offering them ways to improve their customer service and operational efficiency, and expand into new markets. It is an exciting time to join Verizon.”
