Hans Vestberg joined Samsung Mobile CEO DJ Koh on stage at Samsung Unpacked to announce that Verizon will be the first U.S. wireless provider to offer Samsung’s first 5G smartphone – the Galaxy S10 5G – to its customers when it hits stores in the first half of 2019.
Samsung revealed the Galaxy S10 5G as part of its new Galaxy S10 line-up, which also features three bezel-less smartphones that balance form and function, and work flawlessly on America’s best 4G LTE network.
The next-generation Galaxy family includes:
- Galaxy S10e – The Galaxy S10e offers the most compact Galaxy screen (5.8” display) and is packed with all the features that you’ve come to love from the Galaxy line. It features two rear cameras, including the new ultra-wide-angle lens and an intelligent battery that's big enough to share wirelessly.
- Galaxy S10 – Step up to a bigger screen (6.1” curved display) and more power. Galaxy S10 enhances its rear camera system with an additional 2x optical zoom camera for sharper close-up photos and adds Ultrasonic Fingerprint ID for next-generation security.
- Galaxy S10+ – When screen size matters, you need the biggest Infinity Display (6.4” curved display). Galaxy S10+ also adds an additional 8MP front portrait camera and a massive 4100mAh battery.
- Galaxy S10 5G – To take full advantage of Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network, features the largest-ever S-series display (6.7” curved Cinematic Infinity Display), the biggest Galaxy battery (4500mAh), a new Samsung camera with infrared technology for advanced augmented reality apps and super-fast charging speeds (25W).
Customers can preorder the S10e, S10 and S10+ on Verizon starting February 21.
