If you are on the Mall in Washington, D.C. on Veterans Day, you can witness in person an all-star concert tribute to our nation’s veterans. But if you can’t make that date in the capital, FiOS will bring you the next best thing.
HBO, Starbucks Coffee Company and Chase will present “The Concert of Valor” on November 11 starting at 7 p.m., featured on both HBO® and HBO Latino®. As a FiOS TV customer, you can enjoy the concert for free – and enjoy HBO free for 24 hours, from 6 a.m. November 11 to 6 a.m. November 12.
The live music lineup includes The Black Keys, Eminem, Dave Grohl, Jennifer Hudson, Jessie J, Metallica, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band. The concert will also feature onstage hosts Jack Black, Bryan Cranston, Jamie Foxx, George Lopez, John Oliver and Bob Woodruff, and special tributes by Tom Hanks, Will Smith, Steven Spielberg, Meryl Streep, Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon. Leading up to the concert, you’ll have plenty of time to explore and enjoy HBO’s programming. HBO brings viewers some of the hottest content available today – “Game of Thrones®,” “Boardwalk Empire®” and “True Detective®” among others, plus recent box office hits plus special programming like comedy specials. You also gain access to HBO On Demand® where you can catch the season premiere of “The Newsroom®” that starts airing on Sunday nights starting November 9, giving you more command of what you watch and when you watch it.
If you know a veteran or see one on Veterans Day, thank them for the sacrifices they have made to keep this country free and safe. The Concert of Valor will be great and we are happy to bring it to your family room. Extending that thank you whenever you can, on Veterans Day or any day, is even better.
