NEW YORK - December 27, 2019 – Sports fans in Buffalo can now experience Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband service during home games for the city's professional football team and hockey team. This is the 16th NFL stadium and 5th indoor arena with Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband mobility service enabling super-fast connections and new and immersive entertainment experiences. Hosting over a million “One Buffalo” fans each year Verizon’s Ultra Wideband 5G mobility service can provide the bandwidth and speeds to access the content you want during events.
These Verizon 5G installations are part of the company’s strategy to bring this next generation network technology to major venues and public spaces where large groups of people gather. Teams, vendors and other businesses working to support events may also be able to use 5G mobility services to provide a differentiated experience for spectators and participants alike.
When customers move outside Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband coverage area, the 5G-enabled device transitions to Verizon’s 4G LTE network, the network more people rely on.
