First Responder Foundation

First responders put their lives at risk daily, and Verizon supports these heroes. That’s why we recently made a $10,000 investment to the First Responders Foundation that will help expand and grow the Foundation, serving more first responders.

Based in Omaha, NE, the First Responder Foundation partners directly with police and fire departments to serve and honor first responders and their families, build appreciation and respect for their work and enhance public safety.

“The First Responder Foundation has been active in the greater Omaha area for a decade,” said Mike Maiorana, senior vice president, public sector, Verizon. “We are committed to the first responder community and look forward to helping First Responder Foundation grow and support more of our brave first responders.

“We’ve been able to make a difference in the lives of Omaha first responders by working directly with departments to fulfill their wish lists,” said Al Batschelet, president and CEO, First Responder Foundation. “When the organization decided to expand, Verizon was our natural choice due to their decades of work in the first responder community. We look forward to working with them to help meet the needs of first responders.”

Over the years, the First Responder Foundation has provided support to police and fire departments by helping provide tools to help them save lives. Recognizing the stress and trauma associated with being a first responder, the Foundation is expanding its services to include programs that focus on mental, emotional and physical health. Join with Verizon and support the foundation.

Verizon’s support for the First Responder Foundation is in addition to our partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation’s First Responder Outreach. Through February 8, 2019, each time someone shares our allourthanks.com website or shares Verizon’s social posts using #AllOurThanks on Twitter or Facebook, we’ll donate $1 to First Responder Outreach, up to $1.5 million.
