Comedies, Movies and Dramas Drive the New FXX, Debuting Labor Day on FiOS TV

Labor Day represents a time for our nation to commemorate the economic and social contributions of workers. Ironically, many workers spend the day not working.
If tradition holds as expected, many Americans will celebrate the unofficial end of summer on the sofa, or lying in bed a little longer than normal, watching TV.
The array of entertainment choices keeps growing on FiOS TV. And likewise, it keeps evolving to ensure the diverse interests of viewers are met.
Starting Monday, the most talked about channel change comes in the form of the new FXX entertainment network that debuts at 7 a.m. ET. Located on FiOS TV ch. 84 (SD) and 584 (HD), FXX will be aimed chiefly at young adults interested in comedies, movies and dramas.
The new network takes the place of FOX SOCCER, and soccer fans can catch their favorite matches on sports networks like Fox Sports 1, Fox Soccer Plus, beIN Sport, ESPN Deportes or other ESPN branded networks, NBC Sports Network, Univision Deportes, or Gol TV.
All FiOS TV customers who already had FOX SOCCER as part of their video package will automatically receive FXX starting Monday morning.
Anchoring FXX will be comedies like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (the season premiere airs at 10 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Sept. 4), The League (its season premiere airs at 10:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday too), and the nightly talk show Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell that appears right after The League.
Some of the acquired series to appear on FXX will include Parks and Recreation, How I Met Your Mother, Rescue Me, Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, The Hughleys, Mad About You, SpinCity and Sports Night.
Other programming highlights of the new FXX in September will include:
Sept. 2, Parks & Recreation Marathon featuring 34 episodes from 7 a.m. to midnight ET.
Sept. 21, Primetime Creative Arts Emmy® Awards from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET
Several commercial television movie premiers will also appear on the FXX this month:
Sept. 4, Bad Teacher, 8 p.m. ET
Sept. 11, Friends With Benefits, 7:30 p.m. ET
Sept. 18, HallPass, 8 p.m. ET, and
Sept. 25, 30 Minutes or Less, 8 p.m. ET
