October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Verizon’s HopeLine program is gearing up to shine a national spotlight on the issue. Domestic violence affects our communities, friends, coworkers and family, which is why Verizon is rallying its customers to help support the cause.
Throughout the month of October, Verizon will offer an exclusive line of purple HopeLine accessories, where each purchase will activate a $1 donation to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, up to $100,000. Featured accessories include phone cases, a headset, tablet case and more. The National Domestic Violence Hotline provides an abundance of resources and immediate support to enable victims find safety and live life free of abuse.
“As the national conversation around domestic violence continues to grow, more victims and survivors are looking to The Hotline for help,” said Kristin Campbell, Chief Development Officer for the National Domestic Violence Hotline. “As the beneficiary of Verizon’s purple accessories program, we will be able to expand our services to help even more victims and survivors and their concerned loved ones.”
Verizon also continues its mission to collect 1 million donated phones by the end of 2015 to support domestic violence organizations. You can donate used wireless phones, chargers and accessories, from any carrier, at a Verizon store or through the HopeLine website and HopeLine will turn them into resources for victims and survivors nationwide.
For each purple HopeLine accessory sold, $1 will be donated to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, up to $100,000.
