ASHBURN, VA – Verizon has received the Authority to Operate (ATO) under the General Service Administration’s (GSA) Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) contract. EIS is a government-wide contract that provides a unique opportunity for federal agencies to leverage the government’s buying power to procure next-generation communications services. Agencies are in the process of moving to EIS for purchasing information technology and telecommunications infrastructure.
“We’re excited to receive our ATO and will utilize best practices and lessons learned to support agencies' unique requirements and transition them to EIS quickly and efficiently,” said Mike Maiorana, senior vice president, public sector, Verizon. “We look forward to building upon our decades-long relationship with federal government and delivering next generation, mission-enabling services to address government and citizen needs.”
With GSA’s Business Support Systems (BSS) accreditation testing complete, Verizon is ready to receive task orders from agencies. Verizon can deliver a comprehensive suite of EIS services to agencies through our global scope and scale. Our integrated portfolio of services is tailored to meet federal requirements, and includes intelligent networking, managed services, unified communications, wireless and security services.
“We offer secure, accessible, best-in-class solutions for federal government agencies, along with a keen understanding of federal agency requirements and mission needs,” said Tom Colatosti, managing director, government programs, Verizon. “EIS will be an invaluable vehicle for agencies in their IT modernization pursuits.
