I recently spoke with the Tactacam team about their latest product developments and discovered how Verizon Business is enhancing their capabilities to deliver unparalleled performance on both mobile and web platforms. 

Q: Can you update us on the latest developments at Tactacam?

We’ve been fortunate to ride the wave of growth over the past few years, and we’re excited about the recent launch of our new security product. This offering expands on our existing lines of business, including boating, hunting, and remote surveillance, to name a few. This summer, we launched our latest solution, Defend, a new cellular camera designed to provide unparalleled security and monitoring without the need for Wi-Fi. Through our partnership with Verizon Business, our customers can stay connected with real-time updates and phone alerts via our advanced cellular connectivity.

Q: What are your busiest times of the year, and who makes up your customer base?

Our peak season aligns with hunting season across the United States, starting in July and continuing through January, with a significant peak in October. The rural security market is substantial and diverse. While we predominantly serve hunters and property owners, our offerings extend to individuals seeking advanced home and asset security. Additionally, we cater to government agencies and contractors within the construction industry. With our latest security product, we aim to raise awareness and expand our reach within the B2B market.

Q: What have been some of your biggest challenges over the past year?

One of the ways we've overcome business challenges is by placing the customer at the heart of our approach. By listening to their needs and preferences for high-quality camera technology, we adapted our business model to meet those requirements. Remote security was a significant pain point, but our latest offering effectively addresses this challenge. It is one of the industry's first solutions designed specifically to enhance cellular security while delivering an exceptional user experience.
