No. Registration in Verizon’s Supplier Database does not certify a firm as a “preferred” or “approved” supplier. Registration gives us access to your company’s information. We will use the information in the database as a source of potential suppliers to consider when an appropriate opportunity arises in our sourcing process.
No. Supplier registration does not guarantee business with Verizon or any other Verizon affiliates or subsidiaries. Registration also does not obligate Verizon to place any supplier on a bidders list. Registration gives us access to your company’s information. Verizon does not certify diverse suppliers. We recognize certifications from third party organizations and/or government agencies approved by the supplier diversity and inclusion program. Some certifications we recognize include:
No, Verizon does not dictate which companies non-diverse suppliers should use as subcontractors. However, supplier diversity and inclusion is a shared corporate responsibility, and Verizon has a robust Tier 2 program in which non-diverse suppliers honor Tier 2 commitments by actively engaging with certified diverse businesses, and report quarterly in our Tier 2 portal.
