These are pretty rough. Constantly disconnects and needs to be rebooted, switches freeze and get “stuck” through software (which at this point, you’ll need to reboot at the breaker since the reboot button stops working) making them inoperable. It happens a lot where the switches won’t update on the app, so what they actually are and what the app thinks they are doing are different. I’ve filled out house with these only to have 3 of them fail within a year. I’ve started ripping them out because I’m tired of them.

I’ve been using Wemo light switches to automate my home for quite awhile. They’re easy to install and work great.

Looks like the only wait to connect these is to turn off the 5Ghz WiFi network. This fixes the pairing issue.
Second problem is they don't actually work with the Wemo app. You can only control these through Homekit and if you want automation you need to buy a 4th Generation Apple TV or an Apple Homepod.
App doesn't find the device after 1 year of usage

I develop software as a career. I have used Wemo for many years. These wls040 and wls0403 devices worked for about a year. I purchased 4 of them and ALL 4 have now failed to connect to the Wemo app. They can be added to the network. I can see them on the router but the Android Wemo app DOES NOT detect them. I have a windows-based 3rd party Wemo app and it finds them and controls them. After performing a factory reset multiple times, turning the power off and back on, uninstalling and reinstalling the Android app, uninstalling and reinstalling the app on an IPhone, I'm giving up and going with another brand. The return window closed a little over a week ago. Good luck if you purchase these.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.
I have several of these and was pleased to add this to my collection. They install easily, but you must have a neutral wire in the electrical box, so check first. Also check the size of the box. These new smart devices don't fit well in older shallow boxes, so you might have to put in a deeper box. Finally, they do not work in 3-way installations. It looks like this one is a V2 model, which uses Apple HomeKit for setup, but it still works with WiFi only and no hub after setup. I think the newest V3 models require a HomeKit hub to operate at all, so I was pleased to find this V2 model on the Verizon site. Overall a great device for programmable light control and remote access.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this switch a couple years ago, when is connected works fine, but disconnects from the wifi very often. Then is a pain to reconnect again, I already try many times to factory reset and all that steps in the bare manual. This last time I notice that appears in the Apple Home kit, but only works if I am inside the house, then try to restore... bad idea now is not connected anymore. I give up, is a expensive normal switch with a blinking light all the time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own 5+ of these smart switches. Takes me about 10-15 minutes to install and I'm a DIY. Performance is great! There are a few occasions where the power to the switch needs to be reset for it to reconnect to the WiFi, but other than that it works as designed.

There needs to be a wiring drawing added. How does it interface if double switch on faceplate? I have 3 lights using Amazon basic smart outlets, all work great, react quickly to my voice in different rooms.
