Don't let water or a little dirt ruin your day. Here are five common hazards and the phones that can stand up to them.
When you work out in a place like this, you see a lot of phones that can't keep up.
But it's not just in the gym. No matter who you are or where you go, there's a situation that could pop up and ruin your phone and your day.

First up is water.
You might drop your phone in a creek or a toilet, but water doesn't have to be the enemy anymore.
I'm not talking just a splash on the screen. There are phones now that can handle total submersion. Like, "five feet of water for up to 30 minutes" submersion.
So if you jump in the pool with that phone in your pocket, you're still all good.
If you want to go one step further... find a phone that's water-resistant AND shatterproof. Verizon has some great ones to choose from.
Look, gravity isn't going anywhere. Let's say you're a mom and your kid uses your phone to pitch a temper tantrum. One toss across the room...it hits the counter...lands in the sink.
Not a big deal. They're building these suckers with shatterproof displays and water-resistant coatings. Not to mention all the other features you're looking for in a smartphone.
Now on to #3... Just because you can't see dust, doesn't mean you can't fight it off with a dust-resistant phone.
If the phone you're looking at is water-resistant, chances are it's dust and dirt resistant, too.
These phones are really tightly sealed up, which means less chance of grit and granules working their way inside or clogging up things like a charging port.
