Verizon is pleased to announce a software update for your device. This software update has been tested to help optimize device performance, resolve known issues, apply the latest security patches and, when available, deliver new features.
Before you download:
- Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network, or make sure it has a strong Verizon wireless network connection.
- Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update.

The details:

What's changing:
The current software update provides:
- The most up to date Android security patches on your device.
- Improvements to modem functionality.
- Visual voicemail enhancement for font and display size.
- Optimization during start up for devices that have many apps installed.

What's changing:
The current software update provides the most up to date Android security patch for your device and addresses the following issues:
- Calling issues between Verizon devices and another carrier.
- When facial recognition was enabled, the SOS key didn't turn on the flashlight when the screen was locked.
- An error message displayed when making a call from the Teams app.
- When an MP3 stored on the SD card was set as the ringtone and the SD was removed, users experienced an abnormal ringtone.
- Weather information of the current location couldn't be updated by executing the update button in the weather application widget.
- A recorded file couldn't be renamed without exiting the recorded files list screen.
- There was no line break in the update screen after an update was completed.

Software Version: 5.192VZ
What's changing:
The current software update addressed the following issues:
- After turning the phone off, display brightness always decreased to 70%.
- Regardless of the Push-to-Talk (PTT) key configuration, pressing the PTT button caused the phone to answer or terminate calls unexpectedly.
