Navigating Your Samsung Galaxy S7 from Verizon (2:34)
To begin, press the power button to wake your phone.
To unlock your phone, swipe in any direction on the screen.
This is your Home screen. Return to this screen at any time by pressing the Home button.
The white indicators at the bottom of the screen tell you which Home screen you are currently viewing.
Home screens are where you can put apps and shortcuts that you use often.
Swipe to the left to see additional Home screens.
Swipe back to the right to return to your main Home screen.
The Favorites Tray at the bottom of the Home screen lets you open frequently used apps from any Home screen.
Tap the Recent apps button to open a list of recently used apps for quick multitasking.
Simply tap on an app to open it.
Let's go back to the Home screen.
Touch the top of the screen and slide your finger down to open the Notification Panel.
This panel shows you notifications from apps, missed calls or messages, and more.
To clear a single notification, swipe left or right.
Or to clear all notifications, tap Clear.
Open the Notification Panel again.
You can quickly turn on or off features like Bluetooth, Location and Sound from the Settings shortcuts at the top of the panel.
To jump to more settings, tap the Settings icon near the top right of the screen.
Here you can access all of your phone's settings.
Let's go back to the Home screen.
Let's explore your apps.
Tap Apps in the lower right corner.
Apps are programs that you can run on your phone.
Some Apps are organized in folders.
Tap a folder to see the apps inside.
Tap the Back button to close the folder and return to the apps list.
Finally, tap Play Store to open the Google Play™ Store, where you can download new apps, movies, and more.
