Soccer fans, no need to feel ignored with Super Bowl Fever in the air! We just partnered with LaLiga to launch the El Partidazo (“the great game”) program, a year-long event series highlighting some of Spain’s biggest soccer teams and matches plus plenty of fan festivities across the country.

A super surprise for these Super Kids [01:56]
With the Super Bowl around the corner, we teamed up with the NFL, the Las Vegas Raiders and other organizations for the NFL Super Kids-Super Sharing donation project. More than 50 local schools, dozens of local recreation centers, and YMCA locations have been gathering new and gently used sports equipment, books, school supplies and games which will be shared today with local schools and organizations that serve children in under-resourced communities across Las Vegas.
Our contribution: $5,000 grants to both the Donna Street Community Center and Nevada Housing and Neighborhood Development, and is one of six sustainability events NFL Green is hosting with Verizon during NFL Green Week.
Another surprising development – for this Latina entrepreneur [02:53]
On Wednesday, we pulled off yet another great surprise, this time at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. We invited Latina small business owner Guadalupe Tlatenchi to participate in a panel discussion hosted by Verizon and the LA Rams to help educate other entrepreneurs in her community by talking about her experiences as owner of GTLA Apparel Manufacturing – a business she built with the help of our Small Business Digital Ready program.
So imagine Guadalupe’s surprise as we presented her with a $10,000 grant to further support her work making the LA garment industry more sustainable and equitable with her innovative business.
